---------------------------------------- The Hot scholarship hopes to encourage students’ decisions to remain smoke and tobacco free throughout their scholastic career.
To help students continue their learning in the classroom and on the field, the Babe Ruth League is offering a scholarship to second-semester freshman collegiate students who have played Babe Ruth Softball at one point in their life.
Students can apply by submitting an application along with all supporting documents.
The scholarship is open to all undergraduate students.
To apply, submit an online application and an essay (1,500 words) that explains what motivates you to be a better person and how you are currently contributing to the growth of your community.
The award is based on financial need and the submission of a sample of creative writing.
Priority will be given to students in good academic standing and students MUST be eligible for financial aid. Submissions should include 2 collated and clipped copies (4 copies if applying for the Milliman or the Draham) of the following materials: 1) Cover Sheet (please email: [email protected] a copy of the cover sheet) 2) Current unofficial UW transcript 3) Biographical statement, including a brief description of financial need. 4) Creative Writing Sample-Note that some awards have specific requirements.
The award is based on the quality of their novel or collection of several short stories, presented anonymously.
